Lowfish is perhaps one of Canada's most prominent electro producers. Gregory De Rocher's clinical production style is both very "new school" and built on the DNA of early new wave and IDM. Sometimes dark, often melodic and catchy, Lowfish tracks always strive for timelessness and quality while trying hard to steer clear of fashion and flavour of the month technology. The weapons of choice are what they have been from the start; semi-operational analog synthesizers, temperamental drum machines and scratchy recording gear. The name Lowfish was inspired by these dusty machines. The result being a production aesthetic that is lo-fi "ish", thus Lowfish.
